Cervical Smears

We suggest female patients between 25 and 65 years have a cervical smear test once every 3 or 5 years.  We also offer family planning and sexual health services

Immunisations (Children)

We strongly recommend that all children are vaccinated in line with the national immunisation programme which starts at the age of 2 months.  Please ask for a leaflet, or speak to one of our nurses.

Foreign Travel

Please make an appointment with one of our practice nurses to discuss which vaccination you need at least 6 weeks before you plan to travel

Chronic Disease Management clinics

Our nurses run Chronic Disease Management clinics eg diabetes, hypertension, asthma, COPD as well as carrying out Primary Prevention assessments eg smoking cessation, diet and weight management

New Patient Health Checks

All new patients over age of 5 are required to have a comprehensive general health check -  Please make your appointment at reception

Test Results

You will be asked to ring the surgery a few days after your blood tests to obtain the results. If you wish to speak to a clinician about your results you can make a telephone consultation appointment with a GP.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.
